Corgi Antics

Andrea at Swamp Suburbia inspired me to post more pictures of my "puppy", since Andrea has been posting such adorable photos of her own pups. I was looking for a specific photo of Midge sleeping on her back with her legs all splayed out, but couldn't find it. Sorry, Andrea.

My Pembroke Corgi, Midge, has the habit of jumping up onto my desk and watching for me out the window when I'm not home. I often come home to papers and pens scattered all over my office floor.

We had plans to breed her, so she wore pants when she was in heat until she had to have a hysterectomy. No more pants for her, and no more diaper changing for me.

When the boys go outside to play, she stands in the window to watch, wishing she could be out there tearing up the grass right along with them.

Very cute pooch, your Midge. I've only known one Corgi and she was very sweet. You sound a little more relaxed - work going better?

C-ingspots - Thanks for asking. It's still hectic, but not of epic proportions, and I'm working on changing my attitude so that I force myself to be more relaxed. I'm just kind of adjusting my perceptions since performing my job to perfection every day isn't going to count for anything when I die of a heart attack or stroke from too much stress.

I love corgis. All that herding dog attitude on such short little legs. There were two at the local dog park when we lived in the city, and they were goers. Lazy dogs are not my thing, but these guys were just as keen to fetch as my crew.

YOur dogs are all so sweet looking. I know they can cause a lot of messes and stresses, but I bet they give you some wonderful unconditional love....and petting them can lowere your blood pressure, too.

I love that last photo of your precious Midge. I'd turn it into a black and white and then frame it. So pretty :)

Ooooooooooh, a corgi--check out my blog to see Tucker the Wonder Dog and Princess Tashi. Tucker the Agility Champion likes to practice on the dining room table, when we're out. :)

Okay, you might not have been able to find the picture of her sleeping all cute on her back, but the one of her with her "pants" on, is adorable!! I love corgis. She is very pretty.

I hope you are getting a break from all the craziness!!

I always thought Corgi's were cute, but had never really paid much attention to their personalities until I got my Red Dog. Although he is supposed to be a purebred heeler, it became very obvious that some of his characteristics were decidedly NOT heeler. One day a Corgi caught my attention and the more I watched that dog, the more obvious it became that my heeler exhibited A LOT of Corgi traits. The way he sits, the way he trots, his fuzzy butt and yes, he even possesses the eye roll you describe. Now I am fascinated by Corgis.

I had a lot of reading to catch up on-you have been very busy blogging.:)
Glad to hear you found a happy mental medium at work. Sometimes we really do make ourselves stress too much. Sounds like you are in the zone now though.;)f
