Sunday Stills: B&W with a Twist

This week's Sunday Stills Challenge was "Black & White with a Twist". We had to repeat past challenges, but in black and white. I spent half an hour reading the manual that belongs to my camera to figure out how to take black and white pictures, and then I started shooting whatever I saw. I think some of these pictures qualify as repeating the "lines" challenge, while they all qualify as repeating the "animals of husbandry" challenge. As a bonus, in this first picture Midge is doing the "twist."

These Challenges are so great to make us reach just a little bit further, aren't they. The picture of you looking down the horses neck is my favorite.

First pic made me laugh. Was there a belly rub that followed? And I really like the pic of the horse looking away. Great job!

The bonus twist is funny!
And the one looking down the horses neck - made me feel a bit dizzy there. Great shot, that one.

The first one was adorable, the last one -- with the fence shadow -- was really great. Funny how different your horses look in black and white -- especially Lostine!

Happy Mother's Day, by the way! :o)

Like the b&w photos - your horses and environment have the contrasts that work well - also interesting perspectives - thanks for sharing!

Number 5 is great, well they're all great, but 5 makes me wonder what they're looking at.

Whew! Trying to catch up today. I'm sorry I'm so behind.

All your photos are really good. It's easy to see how happy and content all your critters are with you. And they are all very photogenic, too.
