Barefoot in the Paddock

My son came outside in bare feet while I was shoveling manure. I warned him that he would want to keep his feet away from horse hooves. He doubted that the horses would step on his feet until Gabbrielle wandered on up to him for a kiss. He climbed up onto the round pen panels to protect his feet while she sniffed him up and down. By the time I got my camera, she was more interested in pushing the wheelbarrow, though.

Awwww, come on over here an sniff me, Gabbrielle. That would have made a funny picture.

I absolutely love to go barefoot...around the house. Not gonna do it around the horses, no sirree...I don't want no green squishy stuff around my feet.

Why do kids always want to be barefoot? I'm tenderfooted, I can't make it across the driveway! Let alone around horses!

I can't wait to have warm enough weather to be in bare feet!!! Tomorrow is to be in the 60's, so maybe...

Cute pictures!!

I purposely went and bought a cart that is similar to yours....only, now that I see pictures of yours again, I realiaze that mine is a dinky version of yours. No wonder I hate the dumb thing!! LOL

I was just wishing yesterday that it was warm enough to wear sandals. Too much snow on the ground still (Alaska, duh)

I am so jealous of your kids and the fact that you have horses and they don't have any interest. I would have killed to have access to a horse when I was their age. Isn't that always the way?

Colt is cool!

My kidlets love to be barefoot, too. I used to love it when I was younger, but now my feet just aren't as tough. So instead I live in flip flops in the summer. That way I can trick myself into thinking I'm actually barefoot. hehe!
