Whenever I have a seat in the paddock, this is always my view...

Gabbrielle likes to rub her muzzle on the top of my head and mess up my hair...

Hair is reminiscent of hay, I guess, especially when you start getting old like me and your hair gets brittle.

I give her a kiss...

...and she kisses me back...

Then she returns to giving me a noogie on the noggin...

She rubs harder and harder until I crack a smile...

Then I start giggling, which makes her nuzzle me even more aggressively...

Soon she knocks my sunglasses off my face...

Which really cracks me up...

When all is said and done, I've got a big ole' red mark on my forehead...

...but it feels good.

Lol Gabrielle looks so awkward from that angle.
That is so cute!!
I have a gelding that likes to do that to me every time I have my back to him.

Adorable!! What a lover!
No wonder you love her! what a sweetie, and she makes you smile and laugh! A perfect combo
Awww....this just made me smile and get the warm fuzzies! These photos are just awesome. Good for you for capturing such a special moment. Your grins of joy are such a wonderful thing to see. It's plain to see that Gabbrielle adores you. She could easily go do the same thing to either Lostine or Bombay, but she chooes you. Awwww!
I really need to lighten up with Apache and allow her to be more affectionate with me. I can feel that she wants to. I'm just not used to it and I think I still harbor fear of getting hurt when around there big animals.
I think, like you I just need to let my guard down and be a little more trusting. Horse noogies are totally worth it :)

What fun! Gabbrielle looks like a camel in the shot where your glasses come off... :-)
What great pictures -- and what a cute habit Gabbrielle's got! Panama likes to mess with whatever I've got on my head, whether that is my hat, jacket hood, or (if there's nothing better) my ponytail. There must be something about hair in general that makes them want to do that. :o)
Very sweet, and a funny set of photos!
Great post!
Love, love, love, LOVE this post.
I love these pictures!! Made me smile :)
Great pictures!!!! I long for my own barn/land so I can do that again too.
I've left you an award! Come on over and get it!:

Awww, great pictures. You both look like you are having a blast.
That is so darn sweet! I love the pictures!! Nothing better then quality time spent with your horse!!
I LOVE it!!
It used to scare me when they got mouthy like that because I'd read so many horror stories. But after you've had them for awhile, you know how far they'll go. Now, my only fear is that one of them will get spooked while being affectionate and break my nose or jaw.
By the way - the very last photo of your horse's nose on your cheek is wonderful. It is "photo-contest-worthy".
Mandy does exactly that to me. It never fails to give me a giggle.
When she's worried she will obsessively groom my arm or shoulder. Almost like she's reminding herself that it's all going to be ok.
I've been warned that it's bad manners...but it helps her distract herself so I keep letting her do it.
CheekyMare - I think it's only bad manners if they bite or if the recipient has a snot-phobia, in which case the person probably shouldn't be around horses. I just consider it a free massage.
