Santa Barbara Horse Show: Best Tails

Here are some of my picks for the best tails at the Santa Barbara horse show. My mother and I got a kick out of this horse's tail. It would spin it in circles as it galloped around. We were sitting in the highest row of benches in the stands. Isn't it amazing what a telephoto lens can do?

Great Tails!!! I'm so glad I'm not the one who has to keep them snowy white.

The long tails look so beautiful, the braids...not so much but I suppose . It must be difficult to maintain them

I am weird but I love those braided tails! So neat and perfect! Those long tails are something else, Pokey would chew Gilly's off if his were that long!

The braided tails look so tightly braided that all circulation must be cut off. gah! lol!
Love that blue show outfit. Those blue suede chaps are to die for! Gorgeous!

The long tails are like goassamer spun silk. Beautiful!

Beautiful indeed. I'm always struck by how far apart the rider's hands are on the snaffle bit and bosal horses. For my breed assoc. (apps) the hands must be no farther than 4 inches either side of the horn (or about 8 inches apart max). It just looks so weird to me to see the hands out so far!

I envy your photo skill!
