It Must Be Christmas

We've got presents! A short while back Mrs. Mom had one of those CSN Stores giveaways you've seen around the Internet and I was pleased to win an $80 gift certificate. I was amazed to see such a variety of goods sold in one place. Go to and check it out if you don't believe me.

How to spend the money? Hmmmmm. I considered getting a real dog bed, as my dogs have been sleeping on old pillows. Well, actually they sleep on old pillows until the pillows stink, and then they prefer to sleep on our bed pillows. But I digress. My husband talked me out of buying a real dog bed, and pointed out that he needs a new briefcase for work.

So, I ordered the briefcase of his choice...

Then I looked around at camera backpacks for myself. I bought a camera backpack a while back when I was on my way to a hiking trip, and the camera store only had one, so I had to take it. Unfortunately, it was the smallest backpack in the line and I have more equipment than it can hold. So, I found a larger camera backpack at, and I'm sure I'll end up using both.

I love these things, because they have Velcro shelves that help you keep your gear organized and packed in tight. You can move the panels around to fit any size camera or lens. They usually have little pockets specifically for memory cards and extra batteries.

These were both good quality items, so it really helped having that $80 gift certificate to go toward the purchase. Thanks for hosting the giveaway, Mrs. Mom.

Lytha - You are right. It's a laptop bag. We use the term "briefcase" very loosely around here.
