When the Temps Cool Down...

...Bombay gets the fits. I haven't seen Bombay rear in years. I thought he was too old and fat to do it, but this evening he performed the most wonderful ballet on hooves. He reared multiple times, seemingly hanging in air while he looked around and got a bird's eye view of his world. He bucked to the left, bucked to the right, and did a few spins. My favorite move was when he humped his back up, jumped straight up into the air with all four hooves off the ground, came down on his front hooves, and ended on a graceful buck punctuated by the loudest fart in the world. He was so full of himself that he actually had the mares cowering in a corner. All this from the gelding at the bottom of the pecking order.

too funny, I had a gelding like that. He was always good, but occasionally he was silly. The funniest thing was when he was done, he looked around to see if anyone had seen him, lol.

LOl, I can just picture him. Horses get so silly sometimes. My Annie always runs out of her pen, past the gateway to the arena, spins, runs back and then through the gate, bucking once or twice, and then settles down to eat.

My personal favorite is "The Tigger Bounce" which is a frequent flyer around here during cooler weather as well as when it rains and the temp drops slightly. As to the - ahem - sound effects? Well, it's always nice to know their little digestive tracts are ticking right along in good working order now, isn't it? *Laugh* :o)

His antics sound hilarious. Too bad you didn't have a video camera handy!
