Almost Buddies

Now Scrappy can sit or lie near Midge without growling and snapping at her. I think that since I'm spending more and more time away from Scrappy, he's learning that the other dog in the house is good company too.

It's good to see progress. I'm sure they'll be fine if you can get them to pose side-by-side like that.

I think it often takes animals longer than people would think to not just accept one another, but to be friends. Our dogs never fought much when we brought Grace into the house, but it sure took a while before we saw anything that indicated they were actually buddies. And cats... Well, my older cat doesn't like any other animal, period, so maybe she's not the best example. ;o)

Aww, they'll figure it out, especially if it's just the two of them a lot of the time.

Taking time to get to know each other, is good for people , why not dogs

Im sure even if they dont become buddies they can tolerate each other. And maybe become buddies later on.

That's really good to see them getting closer, isn't it?

Aww they'll work it out. It just takes a bit longer as they are both adult / older dogs.

Soon they will be closest friends.
