Wolf Kiss, Anyone?

I stole this photo off my daughter's blog. She's volunteering at the Eagle Tail Mountain Wolf Sanctuary in Arizona. I am so envious. I'm mesmerized by those yellow wolf eyes. If you haven't heard my wolf story, you can read about it here. If anyone is interested in reading more about or donating to the care of these wolves, you can find more information on their website.

Somehow my daughter manages to volunteer at the wolf sanctuary, volunteer in a soup kitchen serving the homeless, have a full class schedule at her university, and hold down a paid job all at the same time.  She must have special powers to stretch out the amount of time in her day.

Oh, I am SO ENVIOUS! Before I got my horses, I did a lot of research on the Mexican wolves. There are two of them at our local Living Desert Reserve. We actually visited the place in Arizona where the wolves were relased...didn't see any, but saw the countryside. Alas, one female was killed by a camper, another one was shot. They rounded up the last female and brought her back to the LDR. Their demise is truly a tragic story.People tell me the ones at the LDR howl when a fire truck goes by! I have photos of them...maybe I'll post some this week! They are magnificent animals. There is also the Julian wolf center, which is about 2 hours away. I've never been there, but would like to go sometime. There was a fire up there a couple of years ago. I believe some of the wolves died...

It's an illusion. I actually only visited the wolf sanctuary once. I would like to volunteer/work on a fundraiser in the future, but that hasn't happened yet. Also my job is a student job, so a lot of the time I can do homework and work and at the same time.

I'm not the one who takes care of family, the house, the horses, the dogs, and multiple other projects.

Wow! I would love to volunteer at a wolf sanctuary! As a kid I always wanted to work at a zoo hehe. I'm amazed that she can keep up the kind of schedule. I need to work on my time management skills. :D
