Proof That I Evolved From Animal Lovers

My mother...

Wasn't she beautiful?  She even loved snakes. My mother was a big supporter of The Humane Society. She probably donated tens of thousands of dollars to them over her lifetime. She even mailed them Christmas cards with checks enclosed. In one of the piles of papers I found by her chair, there were newspaper cutouts of animals up for adoption at her local shelter. She had some of them circled with notes regarding whether they had already been adopted or not. So, apparently, she was in the market for a new dog. Obviously, she didn't expect to pass away so soon either.

What lovely pictures. Your mother has such a beautiful, peaceful, and happy look about her. Did you just get the pictures after she passed? A few years ago, my mom and I got her parents' photo album and scrapbook, and went through and scanned all of them at high resolution. What a wonderful experience that was.

She was lovely....you take after her.

How lucky you are to have these photos of your Mother. I don't have any photos of my Mother when she was a young girl. I wish I did.

NM I'm very sorry for your loss, your mother was a lovely woman. As I read your experiences in dealing with her loss, and closing her estate... man I feel for you girl. I've had to do it twice, for both my parents.

Some people are kind and go out of their way to make things easy, some people have no clue what the process is, others can't be bothered. Then there are the vultures waiting ....

It's been just over 2 years since I lost my mom, and I still come across a person here or there who didn't know she passed, or a credit card I didn't know about.

Hang in there =)

She's gorgeous. I love the first one and the one of her holding the snake. I can't even imagine losing a parent. I hope you're doing okay.
