Condolences

I just wanted to acknowledge that it has been a tough week for some of us with one blogger losing her horse and a blog reader losing her husband.  I don't want to encroach on anyone's privacy, so I won't go into details.  You know who you are, and I want to extend my condolences to both of you.  Grief is a hard road to travel.  I hope it will be gentle with you.

Thank you, Both my kids are here and helping me through this. Tears seem to just keep coming when I least expect them. We made the funural plans today, met with the pastor and planned the service. It is just so unreal to me, I keep looking at his clothes, meds just where he left them and thinking I need to take care of him and then it hits me. I even sit down and wrote Ron is dead over and over trying to get a grasp that this is real. I thank you for your kind words and letting me talk to you.

Thank you, Nuzz. It's NEVER easy losing a horse and Lucille was the only one of my herd I ever rode, except for Beauty, and she died in 2009. August seems to be a bad month here in the desert southwest.

So sorry about your husband Ellie, I can't imagine how hard this must be for you. Very glad to hear that your children are there with you.

Sorry for your loss also Cheryl Ann - losing a treasured horse is devastating (unfortunately, I know from experience) & I hope you can take comfort in loving on the others.

The service is over and it was just perfect, my husband would have been proud. He played piano and organ at church for 57 years, today they played the song the church had recorded so he played at his own funural. Sometimes I wanted to look at the piano bench to see if he was there the music was so real. My kids were my rock, they hardly left my side.thanks Nuzz, and other bloggers for the notes.

I'm late, but I'm so sorry Ellie and Cheryl. I hope time has been kind and eased your pain a little. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.
